Ryushi Komada

Ryushi Komada – netsuke artist , who has more than sixty years of career as a carver. His first one-man show was held in Los Angeles in 1981, the second in Tokyo in 1992. He served as president of the International Netsuke Carvers’ Association for ten years since 1994. For his netsuke titled “Afternoon”, Ryushi was awarded by the Minister of Education, Science and Culture of Japan in 1999.
