Mammoth Tusk Statue

Materials:

mammoth tusk, amber, pyrrhotite, mammoth wool.

Special order.

Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard

Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on;

Not to the sensual ear, but, more endear'd,

Pipe to the spirit ditties of no tone…"

John Keats, "Ode on a Grecian Urn"

Interior object "Flautist". A man played the flute. That was the music of the large orchestra, where the voice of the flute sang about marches and victories. That was the music of weddings, where the flute did the dashing polka dance. That was the music of courtyards, where the flute joined to the common chorus of "Sholom!".

Today the old man plays the flute music about his own fate. Not for the holiday, not to display. He is playing this tune for himself. And every sound is charity, understanding and adoption.

Artisans of the Classic Jewelry House "Lobortas", who have created the interior masterpiece entitled "Flautist", not accidentally selected such materials as amber and mammoth tusk for the work. Their ancient energy and amazing ductility silently and brilliantly show the philosophy of this artwork. The color and halftones of the "Flautist" are similar to the ancient daguerreotype. From the darkness the light falls on the ancient picture and we are destined to see the Musician.

His years, pose, being lost in thoughts demonstrate the sacrificial decency. The "Flautist" from the "Lobortas" House plays music that pulls us in the depths of memories.
