“For consider all the things in the world, whether without this form they could be administered or have any community.”
— St. Justin Martyr, Apologia
There may be no symbol in human history more universally recognised than the cross. For over two millennia, Christians have crossed themselves — yet even before that, this form held power and meaning. Against all odds, through faiths and centuries, the cross has endured as a sacred archetype. After all, for Christians, it is purification, enlightenment, a gateway to eternal life and forgiveness.
Its divine shape accompanies us at every turn: to those who seek it, the cross reveals itself — in the lines of a palm, in the bloom of a flower, in the twining of branches, in the stars above.
Seasoned professionals at the Lobortas Classic Jewellery House saw this symbol reflected in the fall of the stars — and captured it in gold and precious stones. Hand-painted with cloisonné enamels, the cross blooms at its heart with a radiant flower: a symbol of the eternal sky and joyous reunion with the Heavenly Father. Its form, drawn from the Byzantine tradition, echoes the cross once brought according to Church legend from Korsun by Prince Volodymyr and raised over Kyiv above the banks of the Dnieper. Scatterings of stars and diamonds only heighten the grandeur and tenderness of sacrificial love.
The Starfall neck cross: “Love is where the cross is.”
