July 27, 2013 at St. Vladimir’s Hill, Kiev, the public prayer, the main inaugural event on the 1025th Anniversary of the Baptism of Rus’, was celebrated.

The heads of all local churches arrived in Ukraine especially for this occasion. The Primates of all Local Orthodox Churches, Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine, Catholicos Patriarch Iliya II of All Georgia, Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria, Archbishop Chrisostomos II of New Justiniana and All Cyprus, Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland, Metropolitan Tikhon of America and Canada, the heads of six delegations of Local Orthodox Churches as well as the Presidents of four countries took part in the public prayer.

The Lobortas Classic Jewellery House designed the commemorative crosses, ordered by and with the blessing of the Orthodox Church, to present them to the Primates and Representatives of Local Orthodox Churches.
