During World War II, Mauser automatic pistols were widely used in the ground air defense forces, and a certain number of them in the reconnaissance and sabotage units of the Wehrmacht and in the Luftwaffe. M.712 automatic pistols were produced from 1932 to 1938. In total, a little more than 100 thousand pistols of this model were manufactured.
