New history gives rise to new heroes — sometimes unexpected in form, yet undeniable in meaning. Patron, an explosive detection dog of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, has become one of the symbols of resilience and everyday resistance.

In the composition, he appears in his recognizable named vest — focused, attentive, at work. His image is free of embellishment: not a generalized symbol, but a specific hero of his time.

The figure is set on jasper, forming a restrained, almost austere base. Beneath his paws are artistically reinterpreted fragments of modern enemy mines and shells, originating from the full-scale invasion of 2022. These fragments are assembled into a form resembling a broken mechanical entity — an image of a defeated aggressor, stripped of power.

The composition is built on the contrast between scale and significance: a small figure embodying immense, precise, and life-saving work.
