Where silence reigns, with a wing is born,
A thought that soars above time forlorn.
Through bronze and light, through jasper’s gleam,
Wisdom soars, its trail agleam.
In the hushed atmosphere of the study room, where every object and each trinket holds echoes of thought and decision, an allegory of wisehood comes to life — the jewellery sculpture Flight of Wisdom has spread its wings. The image of the owl, deeply rooted in Ukrainian mythology as a symbol of insight and ancestral connection, appears here as a work of jewellery art, transforming into a living story about the search for truth and clarity of vision.
Each feather is modelled with delicate engraving, conveying a sense of movement and lightness. At the moment of supreme grace, the owl spreads its wings, touching silence — as if poised between hovering and repose. The bird’s eyes are set with two orange sapphires, in which the gold of sunset is frozen. This gaze pierces the viewer, lending the image depth and symbolism.
The stand, adorned with petrified Madagascar jasper flowers, is part of the rock the owl dynamically circles. A thin attachment point creates the illusion of hovering, while the turn-and-view mechanism allows the sculpture to be admired from all sides, enhancing the sense of airborne elegance. The gilded base, polished to a mirror finish, reflects the bird’s movement — multiplying its image and intensifying the impression of flight as the sculpture rotates. A pen holder is integrated into the stone, giving the piece not only artistic but also functional value.
Flight of Wisdom is a synthesis of tradition, mythology, and contemporary jewellery art. It is not merely a decorative object for the private workspace, but a meditative presence: it can be rotated, contemplated, and felt through the touch of natural materials. This is the art that embodies profound cultural symbolism, bringing a sense of harmony, transparency, and clarity to the space it inhabits.
