In the pre-Christian mythology of the Ukrainian lands, mysterious beings known as Semargls embody the essence of flame and bestial strength — a steel dash of light and the song of the heavens. Some legends portray them as heavenly hounds guarding the harvest; others tell of fiery guardians nestled at the roots of the world tree. Their breath carries the fire’s heat, their gaze strikes like lightning, their tail flows with the river of time. Inspired by these ancient myths, the jewellers at the House of Lobortas have created a silver shot glass etched with images of winged protectors — guardians of flame, radiance, and the secret doors of the universe.
The surface of the shot glass is adorned with Semargls, crafted with the precision of fine jewellery. Their scales shimmer with inner fire, their wings poise to unfurl for flight, their paws pulse with primal power. Intertwined in a fluid, dancing pattern, the Semargls seem to ripple like waves on river water, their forms bending in eternal motion. A titanium core, hidden at the heart of the glass, allows it to rotate — animating the composition with new energy, transforming it into a living circle, an ever-flowing stream of life, watched over by the spirits of light.
Sparks of eternal fire — precious diamonds completing the composition — flash as the shot glass spins, awakening ancestral memory in the blood of all who grew beneath the sky of Ukraine.
The Semargls shot glass is at once a talisman and a hymn in silver, a prayer offered to the ancient guardians — unspoken yet profound — asking them to watch over the home, the land, and the fire in the hearth. And in taking this work of art in hand, you may feel time itself hush, as though you’ve touched the breath of eternity.
