The Jerusalem cross
Five crosses are stacked in a single Jerusalem cross (or Crusaders' cross). Great Cross is a symbol of Christ and the four small ones – 4-Apostles, the authors of the four Gospels.
Silver cufflinks of the Pontiff’s Words are adorned with "violets of stone", the amethysts, which mean modesty and humbleness in the Christian tradition. Amethysts are called "papal" stones. They have always been particularly valued by church hierarchs.
