Sitting on the terrace of the house and gazing at the distant road, the beautiful Scarlett drifted into a slumber. She dreamed of a lovely house surrounded by green trees. The rustle of leaves in the wind, filling the air, carried the sounds of something so near and so familiar, as if all this had already happened or was about to come. The wind wandered among the hessonite-hued flowers that sparkled like diamonds around, filling the air with a sweet fragrance.
A gentle ray of sunlight caressed Scarlett’s hand, as if it were not a ray at all, but a real man’s hand. In harmony with this, a playful wind whispered in her ears: “Oh, Scarlett, I love you! I love you, my dear Scarlett!”
Scarlett woke up from the sublime feelings that overwhelmed her, realizing a moment later that it was all just a dream. But opening the hand that the sunbeam touched in her dream, Scarlett found in her hands a beautiful gold ring, in the center of which there was a honey-yellow hessonite, surrounded by yellow and white diamonds. And the wind murmured in her ears like a light breeze: “I named it after you!”
