The Ceylon Legend ring capture the story of a gemstone whose journey through the centuries has become part of the world’s cultural heritage. Tourmalines, mined for centuries on the island of Sri Lanka — formerly known as Ceylon — were introduced to Europe in the 17th century by Dutch merchants, revealing the splendour of these Eastern gemstones to the West.

The artistic image is based on the natural harmony of colours and the fluidity of forms. The cutting of tourmalines allows their depth to be revealed to the fullest, whilst preserving the stone’s vibrant character and its internal play of light, where one shade flows seamlessly into another, with warm hues of pink and green evoking the colours of tropical gardens, the humid ocean air, and the soft light of an equatorial morning.

Gold frames the tourmalines with a subtle line, creating an elegant, near floral architecture. Diamond accents are positioned as focal points within the design — they enhance the depth of colour, create rhythm, and add a subtle shimmer, reminiscent of the sun’s glare on the ocean’s surface.

The Ceylon Legend unfolds as a dialogue between nature and time, in which the exotic history of tourmaline is reimagined through the lens of contemporary jewellery.
