When jewellery art touches an ancient ritual — the breath of fire and water — creations of unprecedented beauty are born. The precious ring of Kupala Night from the King on the Throne collection seems to have been shaped by the jewellers at the House of Lobortas from gold, light, and the eternal movement of the elements.
A rose quartz shines at the centre of the ring, with a pink tourmaline hidden inside and enclosed by the unique “stone‑in‑stone” technique. It symbolises the dual nature of the Ivan Kupala feast, which unites fire and water, day and night, reality and dreams. Tourmaline in the embrace of quartz is like a fern flower on the verge of blooming.
Rubies kindle into motion around the central stone like tongues of a Kupala bonfire, radiating the warmth of the ancient celebration. White diamonds sparkle in their flames, echoing the rhythm of a dance in which all living things rejoice in life.
The ring’s shank is divided into lines resembling rivers flowing into a single channel. Pink sapphires stream along them, creating a sense of movement, as if flames were reflected in water. Exquisite engraved patterns — fern curls, flashes of fire frozen in metal — follow a single idea: to convey the eternal unity of the natural forces, their interplay and mystery.
Kupala Night is a ritual embodied in the piece of jewellery. It evokes the breath of meadows, the murmur of the river, and the glow of bonfires. It is the moment when night and day embrace, when the pink dawn bursts from the heart of the stone, whispering that the miracle is near — you just need to believe.
