The Kelimutu lakes are three silent bowls at the summit of the eponymous Indonesian volcano, filled with the vivid colours of the Earth itself. For those who have stood at their edge, the Kelimutu lakes become more than a geological wonder — they are a boundary between worlds. And for the jewellers at the House of Lobortas, they were the inspiration for the precious ring's creation.

A precious cubic zirconia crowns the ring. Its surface mirrors that of a Kelimutu lake — still calm, cool, and tinged with bluish green. Transparent as the morning Indonesian air, the stone conceals within its depths the serenity of the beautiful lake. Light refracted through the phianite’s facets gives birth to a magical gleam — like a ray of sunlight gliding across water: playful, alive, eternal.

Diamonds shimmer in harmony with the phianite, like dewdrops resting on the petals of a precious flower. The harmony of diamond placement carefully orchestrated by goldsmiths greatly enhances its brilliance, creating the illusion of the shimmering walls of a volcanic crater.

The mirrored surfaces of the ring produce an optical effect that enhances the luminosity and depth of the phianite. Light glides, multiplies, and reflects across facets and mirrorlike surfaces, creating a symphony of reflections — light and shadow in quiet choreography...
