Like the waves of a golden, boundless sea, the wind stirs the wheat stalks in the field. The ripe grains look like yellow sapphires from the intricate, straight patterns of cones. With small dots of precious cornflowers, like particles of the blue sky, they woke up in the endless sea of wheat.

It was this natural contrast – gold and blue, the warmth of summer and the delicacy of wildflowers – that inspired the jewellers at Lobortas to create a unique jewellery set. Thanks to a patented stone-setting technique, the craftsmen were able to convey the beauty of nature with jeweller's precision, placing tiny blue sapphires among the yellow ones, thereby creating the effect of a living wheat field in which delicate cornflowers bloom.

Cornflower Stories is a jewellery story about summer, about the rustling of golden fields and about the sky that descended into the wheat with blue flowers, told through the language of precious stones.
