A brooch of Mikhail Vrubel “Double Horseshoe” is a message of an artist. A sketch of a brooch had been lying for about 100 years in the Museum of Russian At in Kyiv in an album with Vrubel`s drafts from Odessa before it was found. The author of numerous paintings of Kyiv churches made his draft “Double Horseshoe” in 1886. He considered that a double horseshoe was a symbol that brings good luck.
The brooch made by the masters of Lobortas Classic Jewellery House is based on a sketch of Mikhail Vrubel. As a precious piece of art it is exhibited in the Hermitage Museum. The ceremony of the handover of this piece of art was dedicated to the official opening of the Halls of Fabergé`s and Modern Jewellery Art in the Hermitage Museum. It was one of the events dedicated to the museum`s 250th anniversary.
