From June 20 to July 2, 2023, Krakow and 12 cities of Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland hosted the 3rd European Games Krakow-Małopolska 2023, a long-awaited multisport event. It is especially symbolic that the 3rd European Games are held in the year of the 160th anniversary of the birth of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic movement, who was born on January 1, 1863.

During the European Games, a unique collection of “21st Century Sport in Dynamic Sculpture” was presented to the world community. This collection was created by the Lobortas Classic Jewelry House as a reflection of the modern sports world. It depicts Olympic sports in a special way, combining the realism of the image and the abstraction of the exquisite cut of the mineral, united by the dynamics of joint movement.

The sculptural miniatures from the collection are one-of-a-kind and showcase a unique example of modern art. They embody the aspirations of the founder of the modern Olympic movement and present sports in a top-of-the-line artistic framework.

The new collection was admired and appreciated by heads of international and national federations, leading sports functionaries and guests of the Games.

By order of the organizers of the tournament, the House of Lobortas also designed and created exclusive memorable bust seal gifts of Baron Pierre de Coubertin with a portrait resemblance of the founder of the modern Olympic movement. The gifts were awarded to dignitaries on the opening day of the 3rd European Games Krakow-Małopolska 2023.
